Week 12 of the Overwatch League comes with a rivalry rematch and new betting markets at two of Nevada’s legal online sportsbooks. With the addition to the catalog, esports betting in NV has never been as robust.

Caesars and William Hill’s online sportsbooks offer markets on Saturday’s Atlanta Reign vs. Philadelphia Fusion match and more. The remote contests should deliver some great action for bettors and fans alike.

Nevada esports betting markets on Saturday’s Overwatch League matches

The Overwatch League has five matches on tap for Saturday, April 25. Accordingly, Caesars and William Hill have action on all five.

There isn’t much differentiation between the markets at the two books. For example, both are simply offering straight bets on the five matches with no props, spreads or totals available as of Friday morning.

The safest bet at both books may be the -220 on Philadelphia over Atlanta. There are several reasons to bet on the Fusion.

First, Philadelphia has already dispatched the Reign once this season. In Week 10, Atlanta fell short of a reverse-sweep bid with the Fusion pulling out the 3-2 victory.

So far, Philadelphia has only lost one match this season. That’s largely due to the Tracer and Widowmaker play of Jae-Hyeok “Carpe” Lee.

The two-time All-Star in a damage role isn’t just the first player in league history to record 4,000 eliminations. Anyone who considers him the best player in the OWL right now is justified in that opinion.

While Atlanta will be especially motivated to avenge their Week 10, the Fusion are on a hot streak thanks to Carpe. If you’re looking for a pick with better odds, the Hangzhou Spark might be your ticket at +285.

Handicapping Hangzhou vs. Seoul for Week 12

Their opponent this week, the Seoul Dynasty, have played just two matches so far this season and those were both against the two Los Angeles franchises. Both the Gladiators and Valiant have dropped more maps than they’ve completed so far in 2020.

That’s also true of Hangzhou but the Spark has faced better competition through its seven matches. Hangzhou brings a greater amount of experience playing together this season and because of that, it is the most likely to pull off an upset Saturday.

If you want to catch the action for that match live, you can do so on the Overwatch League YouTube account. You will have to get up pretty early, however.

As these matches are taking place remotely, times are relevant to the locations that the teams inhabit. Hangzhou vs. Seoul will begin Saturday’s action at 1 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday.

Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, esports are forging ahead with top-tier matches like these OWL affairs. The Nevada Gaming Control Board has been very accommodating to sportsbooks’ interests in the action as well.

This weekend offers esports betting veterans and newcomers alike an opportunity to legally get some money down on OWL matches for the first time in NV. Hopefully, this will become a new part of the regular wagering scene in the state.
