Circa Sports has launched the second edition of the Circa Sports Million II and the debut of the Circa Survivor contest. The pro football handicapping contest is set to guarantee $3 million in prizes. The initial pro football survivor contest will reward the winner with $1 million. Both contests have the potential to offer larger prize pools if the entries exceed the break-even point (3,000 for Circa Sports Million and 1,000 for Circa Survivor).

Circa Sports Million

The 2020 Circa Sports Million will resemble the inaugural edition of the competition, except with an increased prize pool available to more participants. Circa Sports Millions remains a conventional professional football forecasting contest.

Entering Circa Sports Million

To participate in the Circa Sports Million, you need to pay an entry fee of $1,000 and each person is limited to three entries. You must sign up in person at a Circa Sports retail location, either at the Golden Gate Casino or The D in downtown Las Vegas.

Picks on a weekly basis can only be submitted when in Nevada. Nonetheless, it is not required for participants to be residents of Nevada. The service of a proxy can be hired to place picks each week.

Submitting weekly picks

Selections can be made either in person or via the “contest” section on the Circa Sports mobile application. You can make in-person submissions at a Circa Sports betting counter or at a kiosk located in any of our physical casinos. Contestants from outside the state have the option to employ a proxy service to make their weekly selections from within the state.

Quarterly MVP prizes

The prize pool for Circa Sports Millions has been expanded on a quarterly basis. Rather than awarding the top finisher(s) each quarter, the contest will now reward the top three finishers within that period. The recipients of these prizes will be the players who have accumulated the most correct picks or points during the subsequent weekly periods.

  • 1-4
  • 5-8
  • 9-12
  • 13-17

The break-even point for Circa Sports Million is at 3,000 entries. As there are no rake or administration fees, any extra entry fees for Circa Sports Millions will be distributed amongst the entrants. Any surplus will be allocated to the winners of the Quarterly MVP. The distribution of prizes is as follows:

  • First place prize: Over $150,000
  • Runner-up: Over $75,000
  • Third place prize: Over $25,000.

Circa Sports Million season-long prizes

This year, the prize pool of Circa Sports Million has been increased to a guaranteed $3 million, doubling its previous amount. The top prize of $1 million will be awarded to the winner. A “Booby Prize” of $100,000 will be given to the participant with the worst record. However, to qualify for this prize, contestants must submit their picks every week.

The remaining money will be distributed among the other Top 50 finishers of the Circa Sports Million. Here are the remaining prizes for the Top 10 in the Circa Sports Million:

  • $300,000 for second place.
  • Third place: $100,000

Circa Survivor Contest

Circa Sports is launching a new survivor contest this year, named Circa Survivor, with an entry fee of $1,000. Each participant can enter up to five times. The contest is a winner-takes-all, with a prize of $1 million. Furthermore, there are no rake or administration fees for this contest, ensuring that all entry fees contribute to the prize pool. If the total fees exceed $1 million, the winner will receive the entire sum. If the winner concludes the season with a flawless 18-0 record, Circa Sports will reward them with an additional $1 million.

Entering Circa Survivor

The participation fee for the contest is $1,000, with a maximum of five entries allowed per individual. All participants must register in person for the Circa Survivor at a retail Circa Sports outlet, located either at the Golden Gate Casino or The D Las Vegas, akin to the sign-up process for the Circa Sports Million. Weekly entries must only be made within Nevada. If participants are based outside of Nevada, they can appoint a proxy to submit their weekly selections.

Playing Circa Survivor

The format of the Circa Survivor contest bears resemblance to other survivor contests but with a distinct variation. Contestants, as in other survivor leagues, will make a straight-up (no spread) pick every week. However, they can only select the same team once.

The unique aspect of this league is the duration, which is a total of 18 weeks. Participants in the Circa Survivor must make their picks every week during the 17-week regular season. The final, 18th week consists solely of the three games played on Thanksgiving Day.

You can find the complete contest rules at Circa Sports.
