A look at the new Caesars Sportsbook in Harrah's Las Vegas

Ahead of the 4th of July weekend, Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s on the Las Vegas Strip revealed its fresh new look. The Caesars Race & Sportsbook at Harrah’s marked the end of its renovation with a grand reopening event on June 29. The event included a ribbon-cutting and ceremonial first bet placed by Pro Football Hall of Famer and Las Vegas local, Jonathan Ogden.

The ex-left tackle, who also made it to the Pro Bowl 11 times, wagered $50 on the Ravens to triumph in the Super Bowl LVII scheduled for Feb. 12, 2023. With odds set at 20/1, the potential return could be $1,000. Bets of this nature are quite common in Nevada’s online sports betting scene.

Should he emerge victorious, the winnings would be given to the Jonathan Ogden Foundation, which he set up in Baltimore in 1996. This foundation’s mission is to help youths in underprivileged communities build self-confidence through sports and education. Later, in 2008, Ogden established the Ogden Family Foundation in Las Vegas.

“Ogden acknowledged, “I’m a Raven for life, and I also hold a deep affection for my Raiders. If they maintain good health, we stand a chance,” he said, referring to the possibility of the Ravens winning the Super Bowl.

Maintaining a healthy body and mind cultivates a healthy spirit, according to Ogden. He also holds the conviction that the Ravens, favorites in the AFC North, have the potential to reach the playoffs and make a return to the Super Bowl.

Ogden played a pivotal role in the 2000 Ravens team that had a 12-4 record and went on to secure a victory in Super Bowl XXXV. They defeated the New York Giants with a score of 34-7.

Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s Las Vegas

The refurbished sportsbook area at Harrah’s can now proudly present:

  • Over 760 square feet of new LED TV walls have been added.
  • Six odds boards of 65 inches each
  • Two sports betting kiosks for self-service
  • Six ticket windows for sports betting

The contemporary, elevated design provides a welcoming, lounge-like area filled with a range of sofas and chairs. Sports enthusiasts can relish games in a luxurious setting that’s fit for a Caesar.

Caesars Sportsbook’s Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, David Grolman, stated:

“We began to imagine constructing these spaces to resemble more of a cozy home, a restaurant, a pleasant club, or a bar where you can engage with your friends.”

At the Grand Reopening ceremony at Harrah’s, David was joined by Dan Walsh, the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s Las Vegas. Walsh expressed his desire to elevate their standards, saying “We wanted to raise our game, and make this a nicer space to match the rest of the property.”

The mobile ordering platform, Caesars Eats, allows guests to order food from any restaurant within Harrah’s Las Vegas. The food is then conveniently delivered straight to their seats at the newly redesigned sportsbook. Additionally, guests have the option to reserve their experience while placing bets on the exclusive sportsbook app featuring Caesars Rewards.

Walsh also mentioned that a kitchen by Gordon Ramsey is set to open at Harrah’s later this year.

More Caesars expansion and renovations in Las Vegas

The improvements and extra amenities at Harrah’s will also encompass a new central bar and lounge within the casino. This space will cater to the convention attendees coming from the newly established Caesars Forum convention center.

The property is immediately West of the convention center, which was part of the NFL Draft in April.

Caesars Sportsbook is currently planning more renovations at Paris Las Vegas, which includes the transformation of Bally’s into the new Horseshoe brand later this year. A significant part of these updates is the relocation of WSOP back to the Vegas Strip at the mentioned casinos.

As the 2022 football season approaches, sports enthusiasts can enjoy the biggest college football games and NFL contests at the nine Caesars properties in Las Vegas, known for attracting avid sportsbook fans.
