The Westgate SuperBook and South Point, two of the most sophisticated sports betting apps in Nevada, have resumed operations. Their respective sports betting apps have been activated in anticipation of their physical casino openings.

In an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus, Nevada’s Governor Steve Sisolak mandated the closure of casinos in March. Despite this, four Nevada sports betting apps – BetMGM, Caesars, Circa Sports, and William Hill – continued to run their operations.

Play Innevada reported last week that the Westgate SuperBook was set to open its app in time for this weekend’s major UFC fight card. This week, South Point also announced the return of its sports betting app.

Curbside deposits

Customers of the four sportsbooks that were operational in March and April have had the ability to place bets and add funds to their accounts through their mobile devices. However, since Nevada requires new mobile sports betting accounts to be set up in person, it was impossible to open a new account. This restriction no longer applies to certain sportsbook apps.

Nevada’s restaurants have creatively adapted to the present circumstances by providing curbside pickup for customers wanting meals prepared by others. Numerous sportsbook operators have now also chosen to provide curbside services for their clientele.

South Point

South Point has announced a unique method for guests to open and fund sports wagering accounts through their app. Now, new account sign-ups and deposits for existing account holders can be made daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the property’s valet entrance. This allows customers to either sign up for a new account or make a deposit without having to leave their car, ensuring safety and maintaining social distancing.

Circa Sports

Circa Sports is providing a drive-up service similar to its existing one at the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino valet, available daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Current customers have the option to top up their accounts in person. New customers can create a sports betting account and deposit money. If a bettor wins on a sports bet, they can deposit their winnings into their sports betting account at the Golden Gate. Customers also have the opportunity to register for the Circa Sports Millions and Circa Survivor competitions.

William Hill

On May 8 and 9, William Hill will provide a drive-thru service for both new and existing customers at four different locations in Nevada.

  • Parking Lot of Alamo Casino, 8050 Dean Martin Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89139.
  • Parking Lot of Arizona Charlie’s Boulder: 4575 Boulder Hwy, Las Vegas, NV 89121
  • Parking Lot at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur: 740 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89107
  • Parking Lot of Sierra Sid’s Casino: 200 N McCarran Blvd, Sparks, NV 89431

This weekend, William Hill is also presenting a special “UFC Pay Per View” bonus for both new and existing users.

  • Eligible for a $65 cash bonus are new users who must firstly deposit and bet at least $100 on UFC 249.
  • If you are an existing user and wager a total of $249 on UFC 249, you are eligible for a $65 cash bonus.

The $65 bonus covers the cost of buying this weekend’s UFC Pay Per View on ESPN+.

Funding Mobile Accounts Without Visiting A Casino

Funding via curbside and valet is a beneficial service for numerous sports bettors. Nevertheless, once an account is set up, most Nevada sportsbooks can be funded without the need to visit a casino. Presently, South Point is the sole sports betting app in operation where players are unable to deposit and withdraw funds using a Play+ account.

Establishing a Play+ account through the individual sports betting apps is straightforward:

  • Navigate to “My Account” on the relevant sports betting app.
  • Choose deposit or withdraw.
  • Sign up for Play+
  • Input your date of birth and social security number.
  • Review the terms and conditions.
  • Click agree to set up the account for withdrawal or funding.

Nevada’s rules for depositing and withdrawing funds for mobile sports wagering are unique compared to most other states. Although managing sports wagering funds from a mobile device may be more convenient, this service is associated with fees.

Having an account or depositing and withdrawing funds is free of charge. However, each sportsbook may impose various fees that can reach almost 3%. Individual sports betting apps provide information on the applicable fees.
