NFL Awards futures posted for Raiders at BetMGM Nevada sportsbook

The 2022 NFL season is officially underway! The Las Vegas Raiders were the first NFL team to have players report to training camp this season.

The team is about to play its final preseason game against the New England Patriots. They’ll kick off the regular season on Sept. 11 in Los Angeles when they take on the Chargers.

The odds for the opening game of the regular season opener have changed slightly since being released in May. Las Vegas is now just a +3.5 point underdog. They were previously a +4 point underdog.

The over/under total for the game has dipped to 51.5 from 53.5 in May

NFL player awards odds

The Raiders are mostly a veteran team with a handful of superior players. Futures betting odds for NFL awards show where the Raiders veterans and rookies stand up against others in the league.

Some states with legal sports betting offer a wide variety of individual player futures and prop bets. Nevada sportsbooks stick to the basics. There are only a few awards betting options available at some sportsbooks.

There are even fewer with season-long player prop bets.

MVP

Quarterbacks usually win the MVP award. The 14 players with the best odds to win this award are quarterbacks.

Derek Carr from the Raiders and Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles are tied at 13/14 to win the award.

A good example of how much this award leans towards quarterbacks is Devante Adams. The newly acquired wide receiver is the best at his position in the NFL.

Despite his skill at the position, the odds for Adams to win MVP are behind mediocre (at best) quarterbacks Daniel Jones (New York Giants), Ryan Tannehill (Tennessee Titans), and even Zach Wilson (New York Jets).

Here are the Raiders MVP odds:

Derek Carr: 25-1
Devante Adams: 100-1
Josh Jacobs: 500-1
Darren Waller: 500-1

Offensive Player Of The Year

The AP Offensive Player Of The Year odds also favor skill position players. As the name states, this award goes to the best player of the year.

It’s no wonder that Adams is the Raiders player with the best odds to win this award at BetMGM. Adams’ Offensive Player Of The Year odds land him fifth overall. Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts is the current favorite to win this award at 9-1.

Here are the odds for Raiders players to win the Offensive Player Of The Year award.

Devante Adams 20-1
Derek Carr 80-1
Josh Jacobs 125-1

Offensive Rookie Of The Year

The Raiders traded their first and second-round draft picks this year for Adams. Offensive player awards are typically given to skill position players such as quarterback and running back.

Since the Raiders’ first draft pick was guard Dylan Parham in the third round, the team doesn’t have a player with short odds to win the offensive rookie of the year.

Fourth-round pick Zamir White is the only Raiders player in the running for the Offensive Rookie Of The Year award. His odds at BetMGM are 50-1.

Defensive Rookie Of The Year

Defensive tackle Neil Farrell was the highest Raiders defensive player drafted. The Raiders’ second pick in the fourth round in the NFL Draft didn’t make the Defensive Rookie Of The Year odds at BetMGM.
